It is unfair to assume we understand the delicate balance that exists in the natural world. 
From the smallest bug to the biggest whale in the ocean, everything is connected. 
Our carelessness has led to destruction that may have untold effects on the ecosystem as well as human existence. 
If we continue our path of blind faith in nature's self-healing powers then we may run out of the resources that we depend upon so heavily.  We've begun to develop practices in forestry and wildlife management that are only small steps in the right direction. 
We need to continue down that road and place all efforts into preserving our planet.
