I have immersed myself in the study of an ecosystem, killer whales et.al, and built a further
knowledge of the importance of conservation. The fisheries, forests and marine mammals are all subjects I had never studied before.
Making this transition into a completely different world was an unforgettable experience which
will benefit not only my career as a student, but as a professional as well.

I believe that, both spiritually and mentally, there has been some great addition
which has changed my perspective of the world around me as well as the importance of life.
I don't often reflect on my place in nature having spent much of my life in the city.
I shared a moment of my life with Orcas, the fishery fish, the trees, the Alert Bay people and the ocean.
I felt all of the joy and pain, I witnessed the struggle for survival, the strength in moving on and adapting to change.
It is, altogether, an experience that I will never forget.
