Before learning about the
prairies, I never realized the importance of the many species living on the
land.
In past and present years, the people of the prairies have come to depend
on these animals,
such as cattle and bison, for food and for life. This
dependence is a truly remarkable relationship.
For this reason and in order to
preserve America's traditions, the ecosystem of the west should be protected and
conserved.
