Gazing out onto the Pacific Ocean watching the sun set beyond the horizon,
I remember the most amazing experience of my life. 
Each grain of sand, each drop of water, from the smallest insect, to the largest blue whale—
each moment of this trip has provided me with a greater appreciation and understanding of nature and its intrinsic beauty. 
The waves crashing over each other hide a vast world of magnificence and mystery. 
The purity and complexity of nature is breathtaking, as the glow of dusk radiates from every angle. 
It is difficult to find words to describe how profound this experience has been…
we are now fit with the knowledge and motivation to conserve marine mammals and nature collectively. 
And I am certain that the memory of this experience will perpetuate our efforts to improve the quality of the earth. 
To the team—I will never forget all of the beaches we hiked, mountains we climbed, waters we crossed,
and experiences we had—I love you all.  I believe that our experiences along the
California coast can be summed up into one quote: “Miracles happen every day—change your
perception of what a miracle is and you will see them all around you.” J.B.J.
