As I look over the vastness of the Pacific Ocean, I think of how it is teeming with life.
From urban LA to the vast wildness of northern California, thousands of animals, including marine mammals,
make their homes here.  After seeing countless harbor seals and elephant seals,
animals that were previously headed towards extinction, I’ve been filled with hope for the future of these animals.
California is an incredible, awe-inspiring place.  We started in a desert ecosystem and ended in the hills where sheer cliffs drop into the ocean.  We migrated up the coast along with the grey whales.
I consider myself lucky to have spent the last 10 days in such an awesome place.
As I watch my last California sunset, I’m drawn back to this huge, vast ocean and the magnificent creatures within it.
I will never be able to look at an ocean again without thinking of this incredible experience.
