Like a phoenix rising from its ashes, a forest is constantly going through a fantastic cycle of the old giving life to the new.  For example, a fallen tree can be seen not as a sign of death, but as a sanctuary for seeds that will grow into new trees in the future.  What an eye opening experience it has been to actually see this in action in the temperate rainforest of British Columbia.  Now, I can only hope that I can share the beauty of this spectacular cycle with others, and that they too will grow to love nature as much as I do.
