Being a Canisius Ambassador for Conservation has been truly inspirational! Too often we get stuck in our routines and forget about nature and natural beauty. We are distracted by cell phones, computers, school, jobs, etc. CAC has been a chance to get away from all that and jump into what nature has to offer, the chance to see wildlife like birds ranging from the scarlet honey eater, a very small bird, to the cassowary which is about four feet tall! And seeing mammals in their natural habitat such as the koala, which was my favorite animal growing up! Then hiking through the forest and swimming in oceans and creeks! Nature provides beauty and fun for us if we take a chance to go venture into it. All of it will be lost if we do not learn to appreciate it and make sure it survives to be there for future generations!
