For me, the culmination of our field studies was being able to sit at the top of a mountain and simply enjoy the wonder of nature. With an ocean view over the tree tops, a warm breeze wrapping around me, and the sight of mainland Australia off in the distance, I do not think I have ever felt so relaxed and one with nature. It is moments like this in my life that fuel my passion for the outdoors and my desire to educate the next generation on the need for conservation not only locally, but globally as well.
