CAC has made me realize that protecting the wetlands of the south means that birds that migrate there during winter months are also being protected.  I have gained a much better appreciation for conservation that has taken place especially after seeing the whooping crane and bison.  I also have gained a better insight into what I do when I watch over piping plovers on the beach of Doxbury back home.  I am helping to protect a species so that future generations can actually see them rather than view pictures of species long since extinct.
