The claws of a tiger on a tree leave red wounds; many
parallel gashes through the bark exposing the more
tender wood. The terracotta soils of unprotected land
are also being clawed, great mountain sides of tiger
slashes, this time made by bulldozers. To know what was
once wild in India and all over the world are being
voluntarily relinquished because of our own expansion
forces us to reassess our values. Let’s find a way to
live with the wilderness, and teach others how to do so
also. |
