Marsupials

"Hello! My name is Liz. I am a member of the Canisius Ambassadors for Conservation.

I am a field observer with the goal of learning as much about nature that I can. Join me on a special adventure in Australia studying marsupials! I have brought along my camera and my notebook so that together, we can study the appearance and behaviors of the animals we find.

A marsupial is mammal that gives birth to immature young. After they are born, these young finish developing inside their motherís pouch!  I will bet that you already recognize some well known marsupials, such as kangaroos or koalas. I hope that our journey through Australia will introduce you to many other examples. In addition, I can tell you about examples of marsupials that are found in other parts of the world.

Click on the links on the left to join me on this excellent adventure!"
