Our Program

Greetings from Dr Michael Noonan at Canisius College in Buffalo, New York.

I firmly believe that one of the best things we can do is help shape the attitudes of the next generation of citizens so that we can move toward a state of sustainable harmony with nature.

In our program, select college students travel with me to distant locations to make first-hand studies of wildlife and conservation issues.  We then provide pro-conservation educational resources about the ecosystems that we observe in the field.

One way we do this is via these web pages.  Another is via educational presentations at local schools and at nearby zoological institutions (the Buffalo Zoo, the Aquarium of Niagara, Marineland of Canada).

Lastly, we have produced videos that are suitable for use in the classroom at the middle-school and high-school levels.  If you are an educator, you can request copies for your classroom by sending an email to cac@canisius.edu .

All of these educational services are provided free of charge thanks to generous funding by the Oishei Foundation.

To learn even more about our program, please visit www.canisius.edu/~noonan/program.htm.

Special contributions to our web pages have been made by Tom DiVito, Adrienne Vargo and Caitlin Cleary.  Our web master is Ivan Andrijevik.
