2000 Marine Mammals

As we watched the sun setting over the Pacific ocean, the sky revealed shades of pink and purple while the glowing orange sun moved slowly toward the water.  Huge waves crashed into giant rocks and the mist left the taste of salt on our faces.  In perceiving all of this splendor, we were very conscious of the beautiful marine mammals that we had spent days discovering.  We each took this time to think about the ocean and about all of the wonders that lay beneath the surface.

Thoughts of the future came to us.  We realized that someday we will want to be able to bring our children, and our grandchildren, to experience these majestic creatures in their natural habitat.  We wondered whether marine mammal lovers of the future will be able to walk the same shores and discover the same wonderful ecosystems.

The actions we take today will dramatically affect what lies ahead.  Please join us in promoting the preservation of clean, healthy oceans and in working for the conservation of a natural balance in the oceans so that all marine species continue to thrive.
