Knowing how to move (locomotion)

"Marsupials each have their own ways of getting around. For instance, this Koala has long, sharp claws to help him climb trees.  Like us, koalas also have 5 fingers and a thumb to help them grip on tightly to branches."

Marsupial Mole

The Marsupial Mole specializes in digging. It has two large, flat claws on its front feet that are especially good at loosening packed soil. It also has flat back feet designed to push away the soil!

Rock Wallaby

The Rock Wallaby spends most of its time in a rugged, rocky habitat. To cope with this, the bottoms of its feet are ridged to help it grip onto rocks.
