Buffalo Gap National Grasslands

The Buffalo Gap National Grasslands is an area of 600,000 acres in South Dakota administered by the US Forest Service.

It is a region of diverse plant and animal life, but the main vegetative group are grasses. This region is mostly a mixed grass prairie, containing both tall and short grasses.
